Senior Media Producer - Bio

Early Years

I started training as a live sound engineer in my local church at the age of 11. By 14 I was teaching others.

I was also lucky enough to be given an old VHS camcorder around this time, which I used to document my friends skateboarding. I left school with straight As, but academia was less interesting to me than media production.

In my late teens and early 20s I ran a mobile DJ business, and secured a residency in a local nightclub. I was also hired by Boots to DJ in one of their stores, which baffled me as much as the people trying to do their shopping.

Plastic Fortune (2015 to 2016)

In 2015 launched an online magazine as part of the Plastic Fortune project. Needing content for the magazine I made two short films every week covering local arts and culture events.

Hewitt & Walker (2016 to 2019)

I joined Hewitt & Walker as Head of Production in 2016, helping the Creative Director to expand the company and bring in new business. I oversaw all aspects of production, from ideation to completion, leading our team to deliver highly engaging content for our clients.

Selected clients include Adidas, Reebok, Absolut Vodka, Burberry, Aviva, Santander, IBM, eBay, Sheffield United, Primark, Visit Britain, English Heritage, Merlin Attractions, and Creative Europe.

York Creatives Podcasts (2018 to present)

I’ve hosted over 60 episodes of the York Creatives Podcast, interviewing York based artists and creatives. I was also hired by Reebok to teach podcasting at one of their events.

York Community Wealth Building Podcast (2026)

I conducted a series of interviews as part of research commissioned by the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority, which were published as podcasts.

Freelance Photography and Videography (2011 to present)

Alongside the above I have personally created several hundred videos, photographs, books and podcasts for clients and agencies. I have also provided event capture services for over 150 events.
