You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with (2021)

You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with is a collection of six artworks.

I created six original abstract paintings, each representing a member of a friendship group. The paintings were then cut into five strips, and combined with the other artworks to form a new piece. The result is six new works, with each work made up of five other paintings representing their five closest friends.

Each person’s original painting is now on display not in their house, but in the houses of their five closest friends.
